Best Bars in Meribel
Meribel may have something of an elite, exclusive and sophisticated air about it, but seriously…these guys know how to put on a party! What is really great about heading out for a stay in a luxury ski chalet in Meribel is the way in which no matter what it is you’re into with regard to nightlife, you’ll find a ton of it right on your doorstep. From booming youth-filled clubs to relaxed and elegant wine bars, it’s pretty safe to say that boredom just isn’t an option!
So assuming you’ve already picked your luxury ski chalets in Meribel village and need a gentle nudge in the direction of some fun and games, here’s a quick look at five of the best bars in Meribel…in no particular order:
La Folie Douce
First up, chances are that if you’ve ever come across a photograph of heavy partying in Meribel, it was this place you were looking at. An apres-ski bar that’s nothing short of a magnet for young and beautiful folk from all over the world, it also happens to be blessed with one of the most stunning locations right on the side of the mountain. It’s certainly one place where you know exactly what you’re going to get every day – wild parties, booming music and buzzed boarders dancing on the tables. Hardly cheap, but it’s quite a show if you’ve been looking for the best bars in Meribel!
Those finding themselves in a slightly more…well, let’s say ‘mature’ category will undoubtedly gravitate more towards Rond Point, which showcases excellent live music talent from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and has a genuinely impressive happy hour between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Their lunch deals are also fantastic, but try to get yourself a table as early as possible as there tends to be a massive rush of people piling in from La Folie Douce when it closes at 5:00 PM.
An interesting place with plenty to offer, Barometer feels a little like what you find yourself with if you mated a great English pub with a classy wine bar. It never gets quite as hectic or rowdy as some of its neighbouring haunts, though they do tend to get a bit liberal with the volume of the music a little later on in the evening.
Aux Petits Oignons
It’s technically billed as a restaurant, but it has a bar that stays open throughout the afternoon and is a very popular place for extended libation sampling sessions. Don’t miss their epic end of season BBQ with music all afternoon and evening long!
Last but not least, for something entirely different a trip to Jack’s Bar comes highly recommended, where the drinks are some of the best in the entire resort and the stand-up comedy makes for a great change of pace. This tends to be an enormously popular place with those who frequent Meribel year in and year out.
As you can see there’s a great variety of options when you’re looking to kick back and relax after an active day in the 3 Valleys. Of course, if you’re after something a bit more quiet and romantic in Meribel then there are plenty of other choices, but those of you looking for a good time should check out the bars listed above. Make sure your time in the 3 Valleys is truly unforgettable by booking a luxury ski chalet with Alpine Infusion.
