What’s New in Courchevel?

What is new in Courchevel - Ski season 2015/16 - Alpine InfusionOnce again, it’s been a brilliantly busy summer season in Courchevel and throughout the 3 Valleys, but attention is now turning to the beginning of another epic ski season. The arrival of the new Foret and Aiguille du Fruit lifts earlier this year generated huge excitement for the season ahead, but there’s a ton of other stuff happening right now that’s guaranteed to make your 2015/2016 ski trip to Courchevel the most incredible yet.

Webcam Wonders

If you’re the kind that loves to keep an eye on the action from home, two glorious new webcams are on their way for the new season. Watch over the weather across Col de la Loze from anywhere in the world, or see what’s happening over at Chenus for a glorious glimpse of where you’ll be heading later in the season. It’s the closest you’ll get to being there until you set foot on the snow!

More Cannons, More Snow

Another great announcement for the upcoming season is the addition of another 10 state-of-the-art snow cannons to the Courchevel Valley, covering the area between Courchevel Moriond and Signal. With the addition of the new cannons, an incredible 50% of the 3 Valleys total ski area is now covered by the region’s cannons, meaning that no matter where you’re planning to head and when, you’ll never be far from perfect powder.

A Ski Guarantee

Talk about confidence – for the 2015/2016 season, SV3 is for the first time introducing something of a money-back guarantee to cover anyone unfortunate enough to experience unideal conditions. The long and short of it is that anyone buying a ski pass from www.s3v.com for six days or more will be eligible for some cash back if two-thirds of the area’s lifts are not operating for any given reason. So this basically means you’ll have access to at least 66% of the slopes at all time, or you’ll be in for a refund…not bad, right?

Winter Wi-Fi

Let’s be honest – what would a glorious escape to this part of the world be without the opportunity to well and truly rub it in the faces of the poor saps back home? Whether you’re partial to perpetual selfies-snapping or just can’t resist tweeting at terminal velocity, the good news is that more Wi-Fi zones have been installed across Courchevel than ever before and even more are promised throughout the season. You’ll find Wi-Fi spots strategically located at some of the most gorgeous viewpoints – just perfect for snapping those new profile pictures!

Alpine Legends Superpass XL

Last but not least, for those looking to get the very most out of the region and really show the mountains who the boss is, the Alpine Legends Superpass is an absolute must. Along with covering the whole of the 3 Valleys, this incredible ski pass also offers access to the slopes of Paradiski and L’Espace Killy. That’s a total of 391 lifts, 1,300 slopes and 5 glaciers – all starting from just 340 EUR for six days!

Seriously – What more could you ask for?
