With the grey of dreaded January firmly behind us, it’s time to get excited about the activities that are taking place in Meribel during the continued ski season.
Whether you’re visiting Meribel for the first time, or are a seasoned regular looking to brush up on the February calendar, we’ve covered anything and everything below. Here’s our guide to what’s on in Meribel this February.
Stand Up Comedy, Jack’s Bar, Central Meribel (Thursday 8th February)
Jack’s Bar is a regular host to comedy nights all across the ski season, with big names from the UK often popping up to bring out the laughter.
Andrew O’Neil and Dave Fulton are set to appear this February. You can grab your tickets for a moderate €15 and doors open at 8pm, so book your place and head on down!
Carnival, Meribel Mottaret (13th February)
Taking place throughout the day on Tuesday, skiers in fancy dress will get a drink and a ticket to the S3V. This is a sledding event called ‘Himalaya by night’ that kicks off the following Thursday.
You’ll want to crack out the costumes and bring your best for this one!
‘Meet the Eagles’, Meribel Altiport (15th February)
Ever wanted to get up close and personal with an eagle? Now’s your chance, as throughout Thursday 15th February there’ll be opportunities to meet and watch the birds in all their glory. From 11:30 to 15:30 enjoy an ‘Eagle Show’ and a ski descent!
This is a free event and takes place from 10am to 4pm.
‘Feel My Phunk’, O’Sullivans, Central Meribel (Every Wednesday)
If you’re in need of a funk fix during the small hours, O’Sullivans has got you covered. Enjoy resident DJ Seekid’s set list until late, with an exclusive two-for-one happy hour deal until 2am.
The event lasts until 5am every Wednesday and is definitely one for the late-night party goers!
‘Bubble and Crisp Thursdays’, La Taverne, Central Meribel (Every Thursday)
Looking for something a little less intense? La Taverne serves up a delightful mix of music, pub grub and extensive drinks every Thursday.
Open until 1am and happening every week, make sure you pop down and see what all the fuss is about.
‘Himalayas by Night’, Meribel Mottaret (Every Thursday)
A great experience for all the family, this event takes place in the Yeti Park. Enjoy the views of Meribel and Mottaret as you sledge down the green Himalaya run.
You’ll have music to and a ‘Chamallow’ party to enjoy, with €12 for the whole evening and €6 per go. Also, it’s free for children under 11!
‘Immediate The Bassweight’, O’Sullivan’s, Central Meribel (Every Friday)
Booming bass is the business on Friday’s at O’Sullivan’s, where the heaviest tunes are pumped out from midnight onwards. If you’re an intense night owl, this is the perfect party to keep you up until the early morning.
‘Friday Nights Live’, Brewer’s Den, Central Meribel – (Every Friday)
If beer, brilliant bands and smokehouse specials sound up your street, then make it a priority to pop down to Brewer’s Den on Friday’s.
Live music and a wide selection of craft beers are available until 1am.
‘Changeover Saturday’s’, Brewer’s Den, Central Meribel (Every Saturday)
There’s a focus on local bands and live music at Brewer’s Den on Saturday’s. Original music, blues and craft beer, this is a fantastic night out that runs until 1am.
‘Sunday Club’, Evolution Bar, Central Meribel (Every Sunday)
Every Sunday night is host to great live music at Evolution Bar, with an extended Mojito O’clock that offers their famous mojitos between 10pm and midnight.
It’s free entry, so don’t pass up the opportunity and join in!
